Vacation part 4 of 4: the lake

So I am sort of busy doing nothing, so I am going to keep this short.  We are in love with lake life.  I sorta want to just stay here forever.  Why didn't anyone tell me North Carolina has perfect summer weather? !? We have a beach and a dock and honest to god this is one of the best family vacation spots I have ever experienced.

(Can you tell I like it? )

Anyway,  I am writing this on my phone so I am too lazy to turn on a laptop.  I will be back next week with a vacation  wrap up post which will likely include a photo montage.  I mean,  three weeks of vacation pictures require a montage moment.  For now,  here are a few pictures from my phone to hold you over.

Vacation Update part 3 of ? : Still Vacationing

So we are still on vacation. (I KNOW. STILL!) and all is well. Actually, things are WAY better than just "well", they are down right amazing. But how could they not be with a three week vacation.  We are currently in South Carolina and are heading to a lake in North Carolina this afternoon for a week at the lake with my parents.
Hanging out with these awesome people at their local baseball field
Our seats were pretty good.

Earlier this week we spend three magical (YES. MAGICAL) days in Disney World.

That will be it's own post when I get back.... maybe two. I am not completely in love with all things Disney!  For now, here are a few pictures.  More to come soon!  I have to go pack!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Papa
Every single day of the year, we are so blessed to have you.

And to all the other Father's in our lives, thank you for being awesome.  We would not be who we are if it wasn't for your guiding influence throughout our lives.  We are so incredibly lucky.

Vacation Update (Part 2 of ?): Dolphin Cruise

Vacation is moving right along in that way vacations do.  The boys have been playing video games, I finished one book and am now obsessively researching Disney, since we head that was on Monday. (!)  We have also had lots of time to spend with Nana and Grandpa, adding more random activities to our list such as as tennis and shuffle board.

I don't even know who we are anymore.

Buuuut we also made time for watching random cat videos on YouTube (this one was on the world fattest cat, and this cat in particular weighed as much as Henry), so maybe vacation us and regular us aren't really THAT different.

In addition to these random vacation events, we did go out on a dolphin cruise yesterday!
And on this dolphin cruise we came extremely close to ACTUAL DOLPHINS which, I guess should be expected but was EXTREMELY EXCITING!
We also got quality time with our Nana
And our Grandpa, which was which was awesome.
But also, MANATEES! (that's his nose) and lots of birds like bald eagles (not photographed)

And did I mention LOTS of dolphins!
The entire thing was really amazing.
They even let Henry drive the boat

He was excited.

So that wraps up Vacation Update #2. We have the weekend here with Nana and Grandpa then we are off to Disney for three days.  We are so excited!  Fingers crossed for a magical few days in the World of Mickey.

Vacation Updates (Part 1 of ?)

I am going to go ahead and decide now that I will not be able to come up with titles for any blog posts occurring over the next three weeks beyond "Vacation Updates" so lets just think of this as a multi-part, picture filled series.  Cool?

So the biggest news of our three day vacation is that Henry learned to swim yesterday.
We were pretty excited about it.

He was close to doing it last summer but just had that nervous factor keeping him from ever really letting go and doing it on his own.  Yesterday he was like, "I can do this".

And he did.  It was great.

We also took Henry bowling for the first time, which, I have no idea why we had never been bowling before, but now we have!

fun times at the bowling alley

Also, badminton!
And boomerang! When I write all this out I am noticing how incredibly random our vacation activities really are...

So vacation is a hit! (big surprise)  We are loving every second. And we are only a few days in to what is a three week trip, so lots more random updates to come!
