It's that time of year again. The Bio Girl family have left the bluegrass state for the... what is Florida called? The Orange state? The vacation state? I don't know. I could google it, but instead I will just say we are in Florida. We will be down here for two weeks, then back home for two weeks, then off to North Carolina for a week. Last year we lined all three weeks of our vacations up, but this year we decided to break it up. Leaving work for three straight weeks, it turns out, is not really practical. And so, you know, we aren't doing that anymore. Plus we have Candice and Lucas' wedding the first weekend of July, and OBVIOUSLY we have to be home for that!
Anyway, I had not really planned on blogging on vacation, which I think is always my plan, but then I always get on vacation and realize it is so much easier to find time to blog when I have literally no responsibilities beyond like, making sure Henry stays alive and we all eat at some point during the day. So, here I am! Blogging! Not that I have much to say, but I do have vacation pictures!
We are spending our first week in Florida with Nana and Grandpa! We all love getting to spend this week with them every year!
On Monday we decided to tour the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, because we are a family of nerds raising our son to also nerd out over historical landmarks and museums.
Look, it's Henry with Henry (Ford)! We took way more pictures, but of course those were with my real camera, not my phone. So... I will probably post them when I get home. Maybe. I mean, do you all want to see details of the museum and tour, or is it best to leave it a surprise for when you all rush to take the tour on your next trip to Ft. Myers??
After the estate tour we headed to putt putt, which is sorta a vacation requirement for our family. Also a vacation requirement, group selfies.
They are not always taken without protest, but the usually give in to me in the end! (insert loud groans and gnashing of teeth at the suggestion of another picture)
Henry with his hole in one! Since he got a hole in one, he got to spin a wheel to try to win a free pass to come back. He had to spin it and have it land on the hole where he got the hole in one. And... he did it! He was SO EXCITED. Looks like we will be back, Castle Golf!
We actually used Trip Advisor to pick our putt putt place, and went with the top rated one.
Turns out, Trip Advisor knows what they are talking about! It was awesome!
If you are ever in the area, you should totally go to Castle Golf :)
I am sort of out of things to say about the putt putt experience
but have a couple more pictures to include...
Moving on! Yesterday we headed to the beach!
Henry enjoying the beach with his Nana
And relaxing with his Mama
Papa was also there, but not photographed, so here is another one of Henry
On some level I understand that if you were not at the beach, and this is not your kid, all these pictures look the same.
Buuuut, I don't really care. I love them all!
It was a perfect beach day.
And now you are all caught up on vacation. Thank goodness, right?

Drop Your Pictures Here...
I keep meaning to post a real and thoughtful post, but never seem to have the energy. My posts are slowly getting further and further apart around here, which, probably means something. Something I will think about after vacation. For today, I considered writing about gun violence and the horrifying events of the weekend in Orlando. But, turns out, I am just not up for it. So, instead, how I about I just drop a lot of pictures here and leave it at that? That work for everyone? Great!
I give you, our summer so far (in no particular... or even logical, order)
Boo with the kids at the pool
Dug out fun during the tball tournament
Cici heading to 2nd base
Henry being very Henry like
Henry after tball closing ceremonies. He is no longer a tballer!
A picture of the group in Nashville. I told you I went to Nashville, right? Well, if not, I did!
After the end of the tball season we had a party with the Cardnials where we ate and played games and then headed over to the ball field for a mom vs kids game. It was great!
This is not Henry in that game. That would bee too logical. This is Henry in the tournament.
Also in the tournament. Apparently I am currently into pictures of the kids running
Tball boys hanging out between games.
Oh look, Nashville again!
And back to the tball party. We love this group of kids! (And our awesome coach!)
Aaaand back tot he pool!
After pool ice cream with cousins.
Oh, back to the tball end of the season party. We let Coach Huff drive the kids in the back of his truck (like, 100 yards through a parking lot. BUT STILL. Felt like a big deal.
The kids taking the field against the moms
And finally, a picture of me with Wesley after his team won their tournament! It was so great!
While I am posting random things, might as well add videos to the mix, right? Here is a video the kids help make for Coach Huff as a thank you for the great season.
And here is a photo montage of the season, because you know how I love to make photo montages!
And that's it... blog post complete.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Missy
It always surprises me, the deep ache in my chest when I wake up on June 11th. As if my body knows that a little bit bigger piece of my heart is missing on this day.
We went to the cemetery last night, as we do every year for her birthday. Mom made a wonderful dinner of her favorite foods then we brought flowers and balloons. Every year we each write a message on a balloon and release it into the sky. This year, as they flew away, Cici said "We should probably sing Happy Birthday!" So we did.
Happy birthday, my sweet, baby sister. I miss you every single day.
xoxo
